Timing Matters! The Syntax of Multi-Disciplinary Care-Chirodontics®

Robert Walker DC is an advocate of Multi-Disciplinary Dental / Cranial / Structural / Nutritional philosophies of treatment. He is the founder of the Chirodontics® treatment paradigm. It is not only ‘WHAT you do’ that matters. ‘WHEN you do it’ can be just as important! This especially true in the application of “Multi-Disciplinary Approaches” in Healthcare.
Most people are now (finally) aware that a Multi-Disciplinary Approach to Healthcare achieves the best results. These approaches can include Dental Orthopedics, Structural Care, Cranial Orthopedics, Nutritional Support, Myofunctional Approaches, and much more.
Dr. Walker has been involved in this paradigm for over 30 years and has developed one of the most effective treatment strategies available–the SYNTAX of CARE. His lecture will discuss the importance of TIMING and Coordination of the various treatment options available to achieve the best outcomes!

Etiology, Therapy & Maintenance for Peri-Implant Disease

Thomas G. Wilson, Jr DDS – The number of patients suffering from peri-implant disease is increasing. There are continued questions concerning the etiology and treatment of the problems. This presentation will cover new data on these topics. The role of foreign bodies including cement and titanium found in soft tissues surrounding implants affected by these diseases will be discussed. The effect of early and late colonizing bacteria on the implant surfaces and their role in the production of these foreign bodies will also be detailed. New therapeutic modalities will be discussed including appropriate methods for removing biofilm from infected implant surfaces and how these approaches may or may not result in new attachments to implant surfaces previously covered with biofilm.

Three Simple Steps for Healthier Sleep

Stasha Gominak MD, a neurologist, has dedicated her practice to the treatment of sleep and sleep disorders, since 2004. In 2012 and 2016, she published two pivotal articles about the global struggle with worsening sleep and the possible causes and solutions, related to vitamin D deficiency and the intestinal microbiome. In 2016, she retired from her office practice to have more time to teach.
New brain science discoveries show that sleep is entrained to our planet’s annual cycle by sunlight producing vitamin D on our skin, allowing us to sleep longer and gain weight in winter. Avoiding the sun has left us with a global epidemic of sleep disorders and a changed microbiome that are both linked to our failing health. Learn how to use this new information to help all of your patients sleep better.
