Dr. Morris has been practicing dentistry since 1985. She is an accredited cosmetic dentist with the AACD. She received her doctor of Naturopathy in 2014. Dr. Morris received her dental degree from University of Florida College of Dentistry in 1985. She has completed thousands of hours of post graduate studies and as a clinical instructor at the world-renowned LVI Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, has taught dentists around the world about neuromuscular dental reconstruction. She has distinguished herself as one of only 450 dentists worldwide accredited with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. As a renowned cosmetic dentist in Sarasota, she has taught dentists courses in adhesive, laser, TMJ, cosmetic, neuromuscular, and full mouth reconstruction dental procedures. Dr. Morris is a past scientific editor for a dental news journal and has advised and tested products for many major dental manufacturing companies. She received her fellowship with the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics and is the recipient of the reader’s choice award for top dentist by Doctor’s Health Journal Magazine. Dr. Morris received her degree in Naturopathic Medicine from the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry as well as her Clinical and Transpersonal Hypnotherapy degrees from the Florida Institute of Hypnotherapy. She is also trained in PRP(platelet rich plasma) facial rejuvenation treatments and PRP facial fillers. Dr. Morris and her husband, Dr. Burr Bakke, offer a variety of holistic procedures and were both trained in the Huggins techniques for safe mercury amalgam removal and tooth extraction techniques. All areas of surgical bone grafting, sinus grafting and tissue surgeries are performed as well as ceramic, zirconia implant surgery and reconstruction. Minimal ‘no-prep’ veneers are also performed, which create beautiful smile with minimal tooth damage. Dr. Morris is a member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, Holistic Dental Association, American Dental Association, Accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International Association of Interpersonal Hypnotherapy, and the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetic.
